Love arranged by Lauren Asher

Image
📍- ⭐⭐⭐⭐  I've been anticipating the release of love arranged for soooo long, and now I've read it, I want to unread it so I can read it again. Ohmigosh, I feel like crying (tears of joy mixed with nostalgia) I loved this book, so darn much. So basically, they met through an app, an online dating app and then he needed a fake girlfriend/fiancé, she agreed to be his due to Personal reasons and he agreed to it cause he wanted the people to like him as he's a mayoral candidate, it was fake until it wasn't and it all became real, even when the odds weren't in their favour and the entire town, plus her family didn't like him.... I loved how lily always put herself first and stood her ground when she wasn't sure of her place in Lorenzo's life, how she didn't give up on him, how she understood him, how she introduced him to her family and how they accepted him, stood by him through everything. I loved how he wanted to become better for her, how he became bet...

On Merit alone by Adorabol Huckleby-Ordaz

My goodnessssss, this bookkkkk Miss Adorabol Huckleby-Ordaz, I love you forever. Let's dive in. When my friend recommended the book to me with a scene from the book this scene; “I missed you,” he said simply. When I didn’t respond he added, “And you were avoiding me. Any reason why?” “I didn’t think you wanted to see me,” I said. Pulling back he looked at me like I was crazy. “What gave you that impression? The part where I showed up at your house specifically to see you? Or the part when I specifically told you I would be there for you? Your pick.” If he could see a blush on my warm skin, I know he’d be staring at it now. Ducking my head I mumbled, “The part when you kissed me. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do with that.” He blinked at me, his eyes scouring my face trying to determine if I was serious. The scrutiny just made me recede further. Ira tsked. “Sweetheart. Typically when someone kisses you it’s because they like you and want to see more of you, not less.” I opened...

What the helly??? That! People was my reaction after reading the first halve of the book. First off, let's look at the tropes and overview. Tropes Strangers to enemies to lovers  Billionaire romance  Dual pov  Arranged marriage/marriage of convenience  Grumpy ×sunshine Forced proximity  Only one bed  Found family  Book overview  Stranded on a deserted island with a billionaire grump, Maeve must navigate a too-small bungalow, unexpected feelings, and an arranged marriage in this hilarious romcom! When I, Maeve Wrong, crash-land on a deserted island, my worst nightmare comes true: I'm stuck with my arch-nemesis, a billionaire grump with a constant scowl on his symmetrical face. Forced together in a tiny bungalow, I brace for the worst temporary roommate situation ever. But as we struggle to survive, I find myself unexpectedly attracted to his colossal ego (and other outsized features). With sizzling chemistry and laugh-out-loud banter, the he...

Trope list Enemies to lovers Forced/arranged marriage Forced proximity Touch her and you die Billionaire romance "My wife" Mask kink My thoughts... Damn this bookkk. Ohmigosh * Blows air on her face* this book is something else. It's that type of book you can't afford to put down and you'd have to stay awake till the wee hours of the morning to finish. I had so much fun reading it. ROSALIE Rosalie is my favourite character hands down. The girl is a diva in every sense, she's an avid reader in every word and loves black. My babe wore black to her damn wedding * giggles* She's a badass with her kindle and dogs, always ready to defend her. Strong, resilient, courageous, doesn't take shit from anyone and unhinged. Did I say badass? Damn I love her. A quote from rosalie "a warning, Nova,” she retorts, lifting her chin daringly. “For everything of mine you ruin, I’ll wreck twice worse of yours. And the next time you dare to touch me, you’ll be waking up...

My Review of a thousand splendid suns by Khaled Hosseini

My God. * Stares in space for a few minutes * This book. This book is as crazy as it is eye opening. Oh my God. I love women more than I've ever loved them, I hate 99.5 percent of the men in this book. Christ.! And the saddest part is that women still suffer everything the women in the book went through. Damn it. I hate the world. This is so unfair, what happened to Mariam was so unfair, and what happened to Laila so very unfair. They suffered so much, they knew pain and affliction first hand, their free will was taken away from them, they didn't even have any tangible human right. They were treated like lesser humans, treated like dirt (at this point even dirt had more value than them) they didn't have any other purpose in life except procreation. shooting out children like a machine shooting out baseballs.  Even that was painful and they passed through immense pain. The stupid men were treated like kings.  I cried for them, cried for Laila that only wanted to finish sc...

Review of Quick silver by Callie Hart

Tropes in Quicksilver: Enemies to lovers Political intrigue Fated mates Banter Fae, witches, vampires and spirits (and humans) Forced proximity Found family Shadow daddy MMC Badass FMC  Ohmigoshhhhhhhhhhh I'm so giddy and feeling all sparkly inside. I love you so very much Callie Hart. So I started reading this book yesterday and it caught my attention (literally) it held unto me and refused to let go. SAERIS Saeris was giving badass from the very beginning, see me singing my diva is a female version of a hustla' while reading her part, she was GOOD. I loved how she loved and protected her brother, at first she reminded me of payden (I think that's why I was hooked from the beginning) she reminded me of strength, of surviving, and her badassery has-been acknowledged. She's witty, sarcastic as hell and tough. A good fighter, strong, protective of her family and doesn't give up in the face of danger. I absolutely LOVE her ohmigosh. KINGFISHER  My mannnnnnnnn (everyb...

Review of the fault in our stars

Image
This bookkkkk!!! Ohmigosh, I have A LOT to say. First of, I absolutely loved it, I got the book and the movie. I decided to watched the movie after reading the book to see how it'd feel like, if everything would go the same way and most especially to see the characters in human form* dreamy sigh. .* Anywhoo, I've heard from my friends that I'd cry ( actually I was looking for a sad book and a friend recommended it to me) but I'm literally made of steel * smirks * . I finished reading the book in one sitting, cause it was attention catchy and indulging (Very..) I loved the characters and how they developed. Hazelgrace..., I loved her, I loved her character and how I related to her reluctance to socialize ( the cave person in me is sneaking out.....* sighs *) She's a veryy intelligent person, witty, and very introspective. Often pondering on the inevitability of death and so much more (she'd make a wonderful philosophy professor). She meets Augustus and his friend...
